Like many other people… I have been glued to the Johnny Depp Amber Heard trial. Irregardless of who is telling the truth and who is lying. This Car wreck of a relationship.. has so many components of what is wrong with society.
Firstly … Everyone watching… So I am guilty. Luckily … I can’t be charged or sued for being a voyeur. Nor can anyone else.
Assuming.. they loved ..or thought they loved each other… It reveals two very damaged people.. both by their pasts and each other. Regardless of who was the victim. People so damaged they could live that for as long as they did. Assuming parties are lying… How could love turn into something so vile. That they choose to destroy each other… Even after it is over. I have been on shitty relationships. But I knew when to call it quits … When lies .. neglect… Abuse …. Or the flame just dies … You know it is time for things to end.
And that knife ..till death ..no matter who said it first … And hey it is basically in all wedding vows … As long as we both shall live …but on a knife … That is creepy.,. But why does the majority of the population by into as long as we both shall live stuff … People grow change … And the better or worse stuff … It is right there in the traditional vows … One reason I myself never tied the knot … Never came across anyone.. who I could honestly believe I could spend forever with. How worse is worse? I think of Johnny Depps movie Chocolat …
Next …does Johnny Depp have so much money that everyone turned a blind eye? I am sure it happens…. People turn blind eyes all the time… Not even for money … Just cause they don’t want to get involved … They don’t know what to do… Sometimes it is fear of reprisal … And hey the salaries he pays .. are very good. However I have often been one to speak up … When a friend is in a no good relationship. And it does come with a cost … You may get relagated to former friend … Or not best friends any longer … Sometimes yes sometimes no … But how do people live with themselves for not speaking up.
Then there is the possibility that there was is gold digging going on … And it’s true people lie all the time to get money… But if you are getting beaten and abused … How much is money worth? More than your dignity… Your safety? And maybe there was lust for a younger woman .. trophy wife … But why would you put up with that … Because you couldn’t bare being alone? Alone is better than fake love and pretending… Not even to mention the volotiliy of the relationship.. the fucked up feelings ..the negative feelings … To be immersed in that … When it is so personal…and hurtful. Do we live in a society… Where there are no resources so people stay in that toxicity… I am going to blame religion and traditional family values … On this one … Cause financial means we’re not the issue. Like a fucked up sense that we have to be martyers and saviours … Otherwise we are undeserving human beings …
Then there is the addiction .. both..wine and drugs prescription and illicit… All forms of escape… Numbing … Something else required to live in the reality that society has created. Not just the medication.. prescribed or self medicating … But also the enormous amount of money spent on specialists … Psychological … Medical .. financial… Legal ….And forensic … Almost like if people didn’t fuck each other over … There would be massive unemployment… And how about this living in the lap of luxury… Didn’t buy happiness … Just makes people wonder who really cares … It is a burden … Owning so many properties you cannot care for them yourself … So much money you can’t take care of yourself… Sending children to school with security guards … Not being able to walk down the street … Alone … Hey I recall when I moved to the big city I was afraid of going some places alone at night … Not rich not famous just female… That is the kind of society we have created. That we live in.
And I have no doubt more will reveal its self … The devil is in the details… And there are plenty…. Society… Even with the best of intentions …till death do you part ..is to blame … It’s more than a car wreck it’s tankers caring toxic poisonous cargo … That collided … Hopefully we can gain deeper insight… make it a teachable moment.
Two things I wonder about though … The sexual violence described … Is it real cause her lawyers wanted to get that title of her article… Separated from the article … Secondly I wonder if Johnny Depp gets too into the roles he plays … When he played good guys … You didn’t hear that much negative about him … He is a good actor … Maybe he swallows his characters … And becomes them for a bit … Or it could just be lies …. Regardless watching this has affected my mood … It hurt my heart when he was first accused … And now everything that is revealed … About how f…d up things are doesn’t make me happy …..
